About the Author

Ali Almedhychy is a life scientist and an inventor who blends a passion for discovery and connectivity in natural systems. Aside from academic education in science and medicine, Almedhychy received extensive and deep education in Arabic language and poetry during his formative years in the Arabian Peninsula.

It was then that he developed a profound appreciation for the beauty of expression in a language that is as highly complex and inflected as the Arabic. His keen interest in history and symbolism enhances his understanding of cultural narratives and unique interpretations.

During his journeys from his birthplace in the Middle East to North America via Europe, Almedhychy developed a strong reliance on and an appreciation for the values of intercultural synergies. The opportunities and insights he gained along the way were shaped by hidden intercultural connections stemming from historical assimilation, syncretism, and appropriation.

As a student of history, Almedhychy came to view the Medieval civilization of Al-Andalus and its juxtaposition between Eastern and Western worlds as a reminder of the migrations. During a visit to the Andalusian Alhambra Palace, Almedhychy was captivated by the beauty and mystery of the carved poems.

He sensed that these mysterious verses from a long-gone people were silently awaiting somebody to interpret; to the author’s knowledge, there is little to no detailed interpretation of the poems of the Hall of the Two Sisters.

Driven by a desire to reveal silent texts that need expression, Almedhychy believes this exploration can connect the past and present, clarifying the origins and interconnections of cultures.

Almedhychy’s recent book, “Interpreting the Whispers in the Alhambra’s Hall of the Two Sisters,” was published in June 2025 and is available for purchase on Amazon.
