Club description:
Club members are 15+ years old. (Upon demand, we can open another section for 20+ years old)
Club members will meet for conversational Arabic around:
Short videos, Films, Articles, Games…etc.
Club content will be decided by the club members and the coordinator
The coordinator will help the youth organize the discussions and facilitate the meetings
Goal: To have Arabic speakers get to know each other and speak in Arabic (as much as possible) about various topics and media related to Arabic culture
Duration: 4 sessions beginning in February 2026: February 16th, March 8th, April 26th, May 17th
Membership Fee: Membership fee $65/ person
Location: Lasell University- Winslow Academic Center
Date and Time: On Sundays from 12 to 1 pm.
Meet the Coordinator:
Yvette Estefan Easton is a junior at Harvard University pursuing an A.B.-A.M. in Middle Eastern Studies with a secondary in Government and a citation in Arabic. She studied Arabic at CAC for eight years. She has continued her language and regional studies at university through intensive Arabic study in Amman, Jordan (Summer 2024). Yvette is passionate about bridging language, education, and foreign policy to build cross-cultural understanding in the MENA region. Beyond the classroom, Yvette is Co-Captain of Harvard’s NCAA Division I Varsity Volleyball team and is the recipient of multiple academic and public service honors.
