What is your vision for a better tomorrow?

At the Center for Arabic Culture (CAC), we work diligently towards creating a vibrant and connected Arab-American community in Massachusetts.
We envision CAC to be a leading resource for promoting Arab culture, literature, and the arts.
We envision CAC as a home for Arab-Americans of all ages and backgrounds that empowers our community with the pride of identity and the richness of language!

This is why your support and friendship is so important to us!

In 2017, we fulfilled our promises of improving our existing programs as well as establishing new ones by listening to your needs and efficiently using your valued contributions.

It gives us great pleasure to share with you what we were able to accomplish in 2017:

  • Hired a curriculum director to improve CAC's school curriculum, while providing tools such as a classroom website and training for our valued teachers.
  • Established CAC Monthly Cultural Club for community members to socialize, integrate, and take the initiative to participate in the planning of CAC events.
  • Sustained the 4th Annual Cultural Month and Festival attended by over 250 people, turning it into a platform for young artists to show their talent and to strengthen community ties by presenting our culture to the entire non-Arab community.
  • Began the CAC Arabic Children Summer Program that was attended by 20 children and focused on language learning and cultural education through games, singing, music, dancing, and more.
  • Partnered with other nonprofit organizations, such as "Primary Source", in conducting school teacher workshops to raise awareness about Arab culture and the history of Arab-Americans in MA.
  • Participated at the City of Somerville ArtBeat Street Festival and International Day with the Council on Aging representing the Arab-American community and showcasing our rich and diverse culture.
  • On December 2nd, 2017, we kicked-off our first fundraising gala dinner, celebrating CAC's 10th anniversary. Because of the generosity of our community, we raised $37,000 at the gala which will keep our school and programs strong while continuing to grow and advance CAC's mission.

    • CAC founders believed that a cultural presence is the best method of community building and identity celebration.
    Through our hard work, we continue to pursue their vision but
    WE NEED YOUR HELP!

    Today, we are launching our Year-End Campaign.
    Your donation of $100, $250, $500, $1000, or $5000 will help in:

  • Starting Boston's first Arab- American Comedy Festival in Spring 2018 as part of CAC Cultural Month.
  • Launching the first Arab-American Oral History Workshop to celebrate Arab history in MA by interviewing community members, collecting photos, and preserving them with the State Archives to showcase our contributions and achievements in this country.
  • Starting an Arabic Music Weekend in Fall 2018 to provide a platform for Arab-American musicians.
  • Sustaining our school curriculum development and teacher training program.
  • Hosting youth film classes to work on identity and cultural heritage.
  • Preserving and expanding CAC Annual Arab Cultural Festival turning it into an outdoor activity that gathers Arab- American artists, vendors, community partners, and community members in an all-day program that attracts other Americans to join, learn, and celebrate our rich heritage.
