Lilly Music Library at Granoff Music Center
The Lilly Music Library will also be displaying art by Arab- American artists Dr. Wael Kamal and Artist Thaer Abdallah, to give a bit of context on Arab contemporary art and showcase today’s artistic works.
This weekend is full of amazing events at the Granoff Music Center!
Friday, October 12 there is a free music workshop and on Saturday October 13 the National Arab Orchestra will perform a concert to accompany rarely-before seen silent films.
If you choose to attend, the screening and the workshop will give you an insight into Arab culture, the diversity of the Arab world, the political and social context of Egypt in the first half of the 20th century as well as a unique musical experience that will leave you wanting more.
